I started working with Mary in January of 2014. She was headed to Hawaii in May and wanted to feel awesome, comfortable and confident when she got there. I've had SO much fun training her since we met. Mary is always prepared to work as hard as she can. She's mastered pushups, Turkish get ups, is kicking butt with assisted pull-ups and all things lunges. And she slams a medicine ball like it's her job. Meet Mary!
Please tell me a little bit about yourself!
I'm a married veterinarian, with a busy lifestyle. I enjoy the outdoors, especially canoeing, camping, hiking. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends. This keeps my husband and me occupied most of the time. I enjoy the many different restaurants that Chicago offers and like to travel whenever possible.
What were your initial goals when you started training?
To become an overall healthier person by getting more exercise in a focused environment. To lose a little weight and a few inches.
How do you think your sessions have helped you out?
I'm in better shape than when I started, I have a better understanding of my own needs from a health perspective and I feel more confident in my appearance and overall health.
What have you enjoyed the most about your training?
I enjoy spending time with Izzy in a low-pressure environment. Some encouraging keeps the exercise fun. I also really enjoy ball slams!
How would you describe your philosophy on working out and nutrition?
There is too much good food to be eaten, to not exercise.
