So you've resolved to finally do it this year: Work out more, eat better and get your stress down. Maybe you’re hoping this will help you lose weight or maybe you just want to get your life back on track. Great! Here’s my question to you: Do you have a solid plan to get back on track?
CleanSlate28 is a guided 28-day program to help you take back control of your body through exercise, nutrition and lifestyle habits. Compliance and consistency are key but are so hard to get a grip on without accountability and community. Enter IzzyFit Personal Training.
Through CleanSlate28, you will get:
A handful of clear nutritional guidelines and habits of your choice to follow
Weekly workout videos that you can do at home or at the gym
The choice of a lifestyle habit to incorporate into your life geared toward lowering stress
A private Facebook group so you can be part of the CleanSlate28 community
Your own team of 3-4 fellow CleanSlaters for even more accountability
A manual with lots of recipes, tips and more (which will be emailed to you on Wednesday, April 15th)
You will track your nutrition, exercise and lifestyle habits daily which IzzyFit will review weekly. Points will be given in each category. These points will be tallied each week so you can see where you are on the leaderboard! The winner at the end of CleanSlate28 will be awarded $500 cash! There will be team prize as well.
Change your focus from "losing weight" or "getting fit" to concretely making the necessary life changes that will stick with you long-term to help you be the best YOU that you can be. So: LET'S DO THIS!

HAVE QUESTIONS? GOT ANSWERS.
FAQ #1: Is this a detox? Nope! While you'll be taking out added sugar and processed foods out of your diet for 28 days, this program is more about allowing you to hit the brakes on your most frustrating nutritional habits (like indulging in sugary desserts and salty snacks "just this once...") as well as encouraging you to add some really good habits in (fruits and veggies, anyone?)! Ultimately, you'll learn how to plan for success instead of winging it.
This is NOT a juice cleanse, a smoothie cleanse, a cabbage soup diet. You do not need to purchase any supplements. This is a whole foods-based plan.
FAQ #2: What foods do I have to take out?
Processed foods (this includes most things in the center of the grocery store like manufactured breads, juices, etc); some jarred tomato sauces and canned coconut milk are examples of exceptions.
Added sugars (including agave, honey, Splenda, and 50 other names sugar goes by, etc)
You will also choose two other rules for yourself from this list: No gluten; no dairy; no grains; add 2 servings of veggies/fruits at breakfast, lunch and dinner every day; drink half of your weight in oz of water daily; no alcohol; no caffein; if you have a habit you have been wanting to work on, I am happy to consult with you to see if it is appropriate to add it as one of your rules, too
Caffein is limited to one cup of coffee/tea in the morning and alcohol is limited to 2 drinks (no beer!) per week
FAQ #3: What if I have a wedding/birthday party/trip to Italy during the time of CleanSlate28? Perfection is not the ultimate goal. Learning how to plan and live daily life (INCLUDING special occasions) with the most optimal habits is. While you can certainly aim for a perfect score, focus more on making better choices, one at a time. It's up to you to decide if the occasion is worth it enough to have that slice of cake/extra glass of wine/etc. CleanSlaters in the past have had to make those decisions during their 28 days and I know this approach has helped the majority of them stay on track a few months later. Do not let a special occasion deter you from making a change. There will never be a perfect time to start a program like this so the best thing to do is jump on board!
FAQ #4: What about exercise? You will be expected to work out at least 3 times per week to get the maximum amount of points allotted per week. If you do not personally work out with IzzyFit 3 times per week, worry not! One video will be posted weekly with a new program that you can do at home or at the gym.
FAQ #5: What are the lifestyle goals about? They're about turning off your fight or flight mode and de-stressing you a little bit! You will have a list of lifestyle goals that you can choose from. Simply pick 1 to do every day of the challenge to get your points! Habits include getting 7-9 hours of sleep per night; meditating for 5 minutes per day; taking 10 deep breaths when you wake up in the morning and before sleep every night.
FAQ #6: How do you determine a winner? You will win a potential of 25 points every week: 7 for training, 7 for nutrition and 7 for lifestyle habits. There will also be two bonus opportunities per week for another potential 4 points, totalling 100 points every week. If you have a perfect week, you can earn another 5 points. The individual winner will win $500! The winning team will also win a small prize! If there are multiple winners (woohoo!), the prize will be equally divided between them.
FAQ #7: After I sign up, what happens? Once you’ve signed up, you will be invited to join a private Facebook group. On April 15, you will get a PDF of the CleanSlate28 manual. I urge you to read through the entire thing before you do anything else to prepare.
There are sample meal plans in the manual and loads of recipes. Print out the blank meal plan sheet and get cracking with some meal ideas of your own. Planning is everything. If you have questions about your meal plans as you make them, email them to me and I’ll take a look.
FAQ #8: I'm interested in personal training. Can I sign up this program and training? Sure! Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 312-497-8999 to set up a free consultation. Special holiday rates are available now until the start of January so set up your consultation soon!
